OREKA is a grant making, as well as an operating private Trust, dedicated to advancing evidence backed ideas and policy dialogue on issues concerning Nature Conservation and Social Resilience.
We aspire to operate at the nexus of social resilience & nature conservation, to strengthen the universal sense of harmony between humanity and nature, which, we believe, is the key for development of progressive consciousness in an individual, and thereby an inclusive, harmonious and progressive society.We strive to achieve our ambitious goals in a timeframe that is consequential for both humanity and nature, and commensurate with the urgency of the challenges facing us all.OREKA, a Basque word for ‘balance’, reflects our intent.
